- Mixing bowl
Instructions:
- (A mixing bowl will do for this: Combine the flour, salt, sugar and yeast.)
- Add water gradually to the flour mixture, mixing until it forms a dough.
- On a floured surface, knead the dough until smooth, about 5 to 7 minutes.
- Cover the dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate until firm, 30 minutes.
- To make the butter block (while the dough chills), shape the butter and place it between two sheets of parchment and roll it flat into a square.
- Remove the cold dough from the fridge and roll it out on a floured surface into a rectangle.
- Set the butter block in the center of the dough, and fold the dough over the butter, sealing the edges.
- Roll out the dough into a long rectangle, then fold it into thirds like a letter.
- Refrigerate the dough again for 30 minutes.
- Roll and fold two more times for a total of three turns.
- This one you roll out into a rectangle after the last fold, and cut into rectangles (approx 10x15cm).
- Put a few pieces of chocolate at one end of each rectangle and roll it up tightly, pinching the edges closed.
