Ingredients:
- 200g of all-purpose flour
- 100g of granulated sugar
- Coconut flakes 100g (unsweetened)
- 100g of coconut cream
- 50g of butter
- 2 large eggs
- 10g of baking powder
- 1 pinch of salt
- 100ml of milk
- 50g of icing sugar for frosting
Kitchen Tools Needed:
- Mixing bowl
- Oven
- Whisk
- Cake pan
- Spatula
Instructions:
step 1 : Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F ).
step 2 : In a mixing bowl, whisk the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, baking powder and salt together.
step 3 : In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, coconut cream, melted butter, and milk.
step 4 : Pour in the wet ingredients a little at a time, mixing until you get a smooth batter.
step 5 : Fold in the unsweetened coconut flakes.
step 6 : Grease a cake pan and pour the batter into it, spreading evenly.
step 7 : (in a preheated oven) for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
step 8 : Cool the cake for 10 minutes, then transfer it to a cooling rack.
step 9 : For the frosting, whisk the powdered sugar with some coconut cream until smooth and spreadable.
step 10 : When the cake is completely cool, frost the top with the coconut cream frosting.
